Holiday Mashed Potatoes
Description
This simple mashed potato recipe can use either heavy cream or half-and-half, depending on how rich you want the potatoes to be. Heavy cream creates a richer, more decadent dish, while half-and-half produces creamy potatoes with a lighter finish.

- 1 cup heavy cream or half-and-half
- 4 tablespoons butter
- 1 teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper
- Optional: garlic powder, cheese and/or chives to taste

- Bring to a boil and cook until the potatoes are tender, about 15-20 minutes.

- Warm the heavy cream or half-and-half with the butter.
