Annual Merry Dairy Holiday Card Contest

Enter your students in the  Annual Merry Dairy Holiday Card Contest and their artwork could be featured on SLDDC’s holiday card! One Grand Prize winner will be selected from each of the following grade-level categories: PreK – 2nd grade, 3rd – 5th grade and 6th – 8th grade.

The 3 Grand Prize winners will receive a premium gift basket and a gift card for their teachers. Plus, we will award one runner-up in each of the grade-level categories with a gift basket. Again this year – a “people’s choice” will be awarded in each of the 3 categories via on-line voting. More to come.

Contest Categories & Prizes

Grade-Level Categories

  • PreK – 2nd grade
  • 3rd – 5th grade
  • 6th – 8th grade

Prizes

  • Three Grand Prize winners will receive a premium gift basket ($50 value).
  • The winning student’s teacher will receive a gift card valued at $25.
  • The winning designs will appear on the St. Louis District Dairy Council’s 2026 holiday cards.
  • The artist’s name, age, area of residence, and school name will be printed on the cards.
  • Three runners-up will each receive a runner-up gift basket ($25 value).
  • Odds of winning any prize depend on the number of entries received.
  • All prizes will be awarded to the student at their school.

 

Eligibility & Artwork Requirements

Who Can Enter

Open to all MO and IL students in grades PreK-8.

Artwork Specifications

  • Entries should be submitted on 11” W x 8.5” H paper (landscape orientation).
  • Artists may use whatever coloring items they wish, including crayons, markers, colored pencils, etc.

What to Write on the Back of Each Entry

Student name and grade, school name and phone number, and teacher name and e-mail for prize notification must be written on the back of each entry.

Important Dates

  • Entries must be received by Nov 20, 2026.
  • Winners will be notified in early December 2026.
  • Some entries will be on SLDDC’s Facebook page on/around December 8, 2026.

Official Contest Rules 

St. Louis District Dairy Council cannot be responsible for any late, lost, or damaged entries. All entries submitted to St. Louis District Dairy Council in connection with this contest, along with all copyright, trademark, and other proprietary rights associated therewith, become the property of St. Louis District Dairy Council upon submission. Entry materials will not be returned to any entrant. By submitting an entry, you acknowledge that if you win the coloring contest, St. Louis District Dairy Council will own all rights to use, modify, reproduce, publish, perform, display, distribute, and promote the artwork in perpetuity without compensation to you or any other person.

A panel of judges will choose three grand prize winner and three runners-up. By entering the contest, winners and their parents or legal guardians release and agree to hold harmless St. Louis District Dairy Council, and each of their partners or employees, from any liability whatsoever in connection with entering the contest, accepting any prize, or anything that may arise related to the contest. Entrants agree to be bound by these official rules and the decisions of St. Louis District Dairy Council.
