Dairy Up!  Power Performance with Dairy

Up to $1000 Per Team to Support Athlete Fueling

St. Louis District Dairy Council (SLDDC) is offering funds to help coaches engage student athletes directly with dairy foods in a sports performance setting. Funds can be used for activities including pre-training/workout, post-training/workout, event fueling, or post-event refueling. Support is available at the rate of $500 or $1000 per team, and is made possible by local dairy farmers. 

Dairy Up! is designed to help teams build a simple, consistent fueling routine using dairy foods athletes already enjoy.

Dairy Up! Program Procedures & Conditions

Coaches agree on the following procedures and conditions for the Dairy Up! program:

Step 1

Complete the Funding Request Form

Complete the form below. (Note: You are not guaranteed funds by completing this form, you are just agreeing to program parameters. We will be in touch in early 2027 to inform you of the status of your funding request.)

Step 4

Purchase Approved Dairy Products

Purchase dairy products for your team’s fueling station. Dairy products include milk, flavored milk, cheese, yogurt, cottage cheese, cream cheese, etc. Organic dairy products and plant-based alternatives are not allowed.

Step 2

Share the SLDDC Welcome Video

Share SLDDC’s “Welcome Video” with students. This video explains the program and how dairy helps fuel athletes.

Step 5

Share Photos & Tag SLDDC

Submit at least 2 photos of your team enjoying the dairy items purchased and tag SLDDC in any social media posts including the dairy that was purchased from the Dairy Up! grant.

Step 3

Schedule a Team Nutrition Talk

Allow a SLDDC dietitian to present to your team on a mutually agreed upon date once dairy fueling has begun.

Step 6

Complete the Program Evaluation

Complete the Dairy Up! program evaluation at the conclusion of the program.

  • Consistent grab-and-go snacks for athletes between classes and training
