- 3 garlic cloves, minced
- 2 cups shredded smoked Gouda cheese
- Chives and smoked paprika for garnish
Instructions
- Make the base. In a large saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in flour, pepper, and allspice until smooth.
- Add liquids. Gradually whisk in chicken broth, heavy cream, and milk. Bring to a boil.
- Add mushrooms and garlic. Stir in sliced mushrooms and minced garlic. Reduce heat.
- Simmer. Cook for 5 to 6 minutes, or until mushrooms are tender.
- Add cheese. Stir in smoked Gouda cheese and cook until fully melted and smooth.
- Serve. Ladle into bowls and garnish with chives and smoked paprika if desired.
