Welcome to Knebel Dairy Farm

Meet a Calf Your Classroom Can Adopt

I’m Alivia Knebel, and I help on my family’s farm in Pocahontas, Illinois. I’m a fifth generation farmer and have worked on the farm my entire life.

One of the newest members of the herd is this calf right here. She doesn’t have a name yet, but if your classroom adopts her, you’ll get to name her and watch her grow with monthly photos and updates.

Just like many of the other dairy cows on our farm, she is a Holstein. She’s friendly and sweet, as many calves are.

If you’d like to adopt her for your classroom, click the link on the right. Once your adoption form is received, we’ll send you an adoption confirmation email that includes a photo of your calf and a video message from me.

Each month, we’ll send an email with a picture and update on your calf, along with fun, educational materials that help students learn about dairy farming and nutritious dairy foods.

Thanks for reading about our dairy farm and baby calf. We hope you’ll consider adopting her and follow her during her journey this school year.

About Knebel Dairy Farm

A Fifth Generation Dairy Farm in Pocahontas, Illinois

Knebel Dairy Farm is a fifth generation family dairy farm in Pocahontas, Illinois. Our farm represents generations of hard work, animal care, and dedication to dairy farming. Working alongside my Dad and Grandpa, I am proud to help continue our family’s farming tradition.

Family Farming and Daily Dairy Care

Our farm is home to 200 milking cows, and every day involves caring for the herd and helping produce quality milk. Our milk is taken to Carlinville or Granite City and turned into fluid milk. By adopting a calf from Knebel Dairy Farm, classrooms can get a closer look at life on a working Illinois dairy farm.
